Job description

A fantastic opportunity to join TAG Aviation’s Crewing Team as a Crewing Specialist.

Reporting to the Crewing Manager, Crewing Specialists maintain available crew resources, resolve operational disruptions through informed decision-making and ensure regulatory and company requirements are met. They provide clear, concise information to crew members and foster strong relationships within the Operations Control Centre. The role requires timely, well-informed decisions while prioritising safety and compliance. Strong teamwork and time management skills are essential in this often high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain crew rosters and communicate flight schedules to crew

  • Calculate FDP requirements and liaise with Ground Operations/Crew to ensure compliance

  • Re-plan crew resources for maximum efficiency while ensuring compliance & safety and adherence to regulations

  • Identify, resolve and escalate operational risks as needed

  • Coordinate with Flight Crew Training, source Freelance Crew and monitor training legalities

  • Communicate effectively with the team, Cabin Crew, Pilots, and key business areas

  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly tasks per checklists and procedures

  • Facilitate crew visa applications

  • Assist with crew travel queries, liaising with external companies when necessary

  • Provide detailed handovers to team members and other departments

  • Represent and promote the Crewing Team in company updates/meetings

  • Ensure compliance with Company SOPs and align with TAG SPIRIT values

  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Crewing Manager/Duty Manager

  • Ability to work weekends, public holidays and overtime shifts

Job requirements

Essential Competencies

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Aviation Operations Control Centre

  • Good geographical knowledge

  • High level of spoken and written English

  • Knowledge and understanding of EASA/CAP371/Sub part-Q Flight Time Limitations

  • A good problem solver who works well under pressure due to the ever-changing environment

  • Excellent communicator who can prioritise workload and influence others

  • Unphased in decision making with strong attention to detail

  • Understanding of Crew member training requirements and regulation surrounding them

  • Proficiency with Office 365 package and Leon crewing/scheduling software preferred
