SUMMARY OF POSITION

This position ensures that aircraft allocated to the Fleet Manager remain compliant within the Continuing Airworthiness requirements set by Technical Department. Responsible to the associated Nominated post holders and reporting to the Technical Director, this position provides a principle interface between the TAG Aviation Technical department and the customer or Client Aviation Manager (CAM) on a basis of 24/7. This role delivers excellent customer service and value and requires some flexibility in working hours and participation in a coverage rotation as per the work exigencies. Each Fleet Manager will be part of the Maintenance Control Centre which covering the operated aircraft.

Job requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • The position ensures that aircraft allocated remain compliant with Continuing Airworthiness requirements as set withing the CAMEs, MCMs, process manuals and any other publications or directions the Technical department issue.

  • Monitoring of Aircraft hours and cycles to ensure all operational and maintenance activities can be achieved within the designed maintenance programme. Monitoring and updating of maintenance tracking systems e.g. CAMP, CMP etc

  • Plan, project manage and coordinate all maintenance inputs with Part 145 Line and Base maintenance organisations including the review of quotations, subsequent invoices and eventual on-site project follow-up

  • Review, update and issue Maintenance Statement and Minor Inspection Records as required. When required assist or guide technical records section to update the hardcopy and/or softcopy records

  • Raise Purchase Orders for all unscheduled and scheduled line and base maintenance for allocated aircraft

  • Be part of a team performing aircraft inductions and handovers whilst also able to act as a first contact with the aircraft operating flight crew as part of the Maintenance Control Centre

  • Review, assessment and recording AD’s, SB’s etc

  • Technical Review of completed work packages and sector records pages ensuring CRS issued and MEL DD’s are controlled. Assists with the control and revision of publications associated with the aircraft that they are responsible for. Liaises closely with Technical Services on reliability, engine health issues and Aircraft Maintenance Programmes.

  • Professional liaison with Aircraft Client Aviation Manager (CAM) and flight crew ensuring excellent communications and business relationships exist at all times (24/7) for positive outcome of the Client.

  • Resolution of Quality System / Safety non conformity reports as relevant to the role whilst able to risk assess maintenance occurrences and events

QUALITIES AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Demonstrates a strong ability to support department staff members, managers, director and established collaborative relationships with peers by applying the right attitude, knowledge and skill for the projects at hand

  • Proven Project management skills within the aircraft maintenance and CAMO. Able to coordinate multiple activities in continuing airworthiness and communicate effectively and concisely when dealing with non-technical persons

  • Good understanding of relevant regulations such as EASA and CAA UK Part M / CAMO regulations together with working knowledge with IOM and MAR regulations. Basic understanding of EASA / UK Part 145

  • Proficient in the use of role-based computer systems and ready to learn and use digital processes day to day

  • Results driven, thriving on competitive environment, does what it takes to maintain safety and apply an astute commercial acumen

  • Flexible and able to manage varying demands and workloads

  • Technical Proficiency in the analysis of manufacturer’s publications

  • Fluent in English, both written and read

ESSENTIAL

  • 4 years previous experience within the Continuing Airworthiness environment

  • 4 years of experience in Aviation maintenance environment, most preferably in corporate / business aviation environment

  • Good standards of working knowledge of EASA and UK CAA Part M / CAMO, IOM and SMAR regulations

  • Proven Customer Facing and Customer Service experience

  • Ability to manage complex Continuing Airworthiness and technical scenarios

  • Willing to travel on company business to perform on-site aircraft visits, be part of audits and ARCs

  • Hold / Held Aircraft Maintenance Licence EASA Part-66 and/or UK CAA B1.1 and/or B2 and/or Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or VET/EQF Level 4 in Mech/Elect or Electronic Engineering

  • Be able to fulfil the competence requirements as set within the TAG Aviation processes and procedures

DESIRABLE

  • Documented experience in Aviation Maintenance ideally within Business Aviation

  • Working experience of Maintenance Tracking Software (Ex CAMP / CMP) and Flight Scheduling Software (Ex LEON)

  • In possession of General Familiarisation course on one or more of the aircraft operated by TAG Aviation

  • Hold an EASA and/or UK CAA B1 and/or B2 and C EASA Part 66 licence with 4 years aircraft maintenance experience and ideally endorsed with company operated aircraft types. The same Licence holder has conducted management related studies complementing his licence

  • Current continuation training such as; FTS, EWIS and HF
