LMS Specialist & E-learning Course Designer 

The LMS Specialist and E-learning Course Designer will be responsible for managing our Learning Management System, developing engaging and effective E-learning courses, and ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of all digital learning initiatives. Reporting to the TGT Training Manager, this role requires a blend of technical expertise, instructional design skills, and project management capabilities, as well as experience within the aviation industry.

Job requirements

LMS Management:

  • Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring its smooth operation and functionality 
  • Oversee user management, including onboarding, training, and technical support for al LMS users including 3rd party clients
  • Monitor and analyse LMS performance metrics to improve user experience and system efficiency.

Course Design and Development 

  • Design, develop, and implement engaging and interactive E-learning courses and training programs.
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure course material is accurate and up to date.
  • Apply instructional design principles to create effective learning experiences, including the use of multimedia, assessments, and simulations.
  • Ensure all E-learning content meets accessibility standards and is compatible with various devices and platforms.
  • Background with Graphic Design Tools: Proficiency in graphic design software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for creating visually appealing course materials
  • Understanding of UI design principles to create intuitive and user-friendly course interfaces. 

Project Management

  • Manage the full lifecycle of E-learning projects from initial concept through final delivery.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality learning solutions
  • Conduct needs assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and data analysis

Continuous Improvement 

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in e-learning and instructional design.
  • Provide recommendations for new tools, techniques, and strategies to enhance the learning experience. 
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of existing courses to ensure ongoing relevance and effectiveness. 


  • Good level of spoken and written English 
  • Able to work with all levels of staff
  • Ability to assess and deliver on-the-job training to junior staff
  • Some flexibility in working hours and travelling may be required
  • Full driving licence and access to a car 
  • Educated to Degree level. 
  • 2 years experience of owning a customer facing LMS
  • 2-3 years experience of designing and developing digital learning content with an authoring tool
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Proven track record of building learning paths 
  • Exceptional analytical and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, manage expectations and learn from results 
  • Methodical and thorough approach to work - able to stay calm under pressure
  • Resilient and confident with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently 
  • Effective time-management evidence 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, good team player
  • Strong work ethic, collaborative mindset and a hands-on, proactive attitude 
  • Shows initiative and demonstrates integrity
