Senior Sales Executive

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Sales Executive to join our Commercial department at TAG Aviation UK Ltd. As a Senior Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the aviation industry and have experience in selling aviation services.

Job requirements

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Respond to inbound charter enquiries and assessing client requirements
  • Manage all aspects of charter flights from initial sale to scheduling to post-flight
  • Generate revenue for the company
  • Build up and manage their own key accounts as well as to mentor team members develop their own
  • Work as part of a team to reach individual & team targets, supporting colleagues
  • Liaise with other departments e.g. Operations, Accounting, Aircraft Management, Crewing
  • Generate new business and leads
  • Assist in the management of key charter aircraft
  • Greet clients where possible when flying through Farnborough Airport
  • Provide ‘out-of-hours’ telephone cover from home during evenings and weekends 
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Communicate well and display good interpersonal skills
  • Make decisions, take initiative and work methodically
  • Be results oriented
  • Work well in a team; consult and share information with colleagues
  • Display analytical skills and strong commercial awareness
  • Work with all levels of Management and Supervision internally and externally
  • Promote the TAG reputation and brand
  • Assist in the review of work processes, efficiency and service levels
  • Provide assistance to the Deputy Manager with roster planning
  • Represent TAG externally at industry functions
  • Provide charter support out of hours for the team
  • Conduct internal training of new charter team members
  • Provide operational and sales guidance to the team
  • Provide consistent sales drive and motivation to your team
  • Plan targeted sales related industry and direct client meetings
  • Plan TAG charter events
  • Review trip files for sales / operational opportunities
  • Push for pro-active team sales approaches and transfer sales expertise to the new team members
  • Attend relevant networking opportunities to support Business Development
  • Help change TAG direction to remain current as an industry leader

Further requirements for the role:


  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Good knowledge of business jet aircraft
  • Knowledge of Airports
  • Good understanding of aircraft performance
  • GCSE English and Maths A-C
  • Educated to at least A Level Standard or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience in a commercial sales environment
  • Experience of an aircraft broking environment
  • Experience of introducing new business
  • Account management experience
  • Operations experience
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Effective time-management evidence
  • Highest levels of integrity
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work well as part of a team
